De Regenboog

De Regenboog De Regenboog

De Regenboog simply has to be included in our list of party hotspots. That is, if you don’t mind crowds, love a disco-inferno and of course are in for a party. Situated in the Van Oldenbarneveldtstraat - practically next to Central Station – a 5 minute walk away – and literally a few feet away from Strano.

The second you enter De Regenboog – also referred to as the ‘gay-Skihut’ in the gay Rotterdam scene – you’re transported to a happening party filled with coloured lights, disco balls, and music you can’t help but move to – regardless of your musical preference. From songfestival hits, de Toppers, Luv’ and Anita Meijer to Rihanna and Armin van Buuren. You name it, De Regenboog plays it. If you’re into singalongs, you’re in for a treat as well, especially during the infamous Wednesday night karaoke. If you’re still in any condition to sing along, please do!

Patrons of De Regenboog come in all shapes, sizes and ages: party people from the 70s, 80s and 90s, gay and straight. Everybody is welcome to have a great time together. The staff is as cheerful and good-natured as they come and will pour you a beer, wine or whichever beverage you prefer as well as whip up some mean cocktails. It is possible to leave your belongings in the manned cloakroom for a fee.

You can find De Regenboog next to Strano – at nr. 148a in the Van Oldenbarneveldtstraat. Its doors are opened every Wednesday till Sunday from 4 PM till 2 AM.
