Do you fancy a good mix of transvestism, vaudeville and party music? If so, the KeerWeer Parade is an absolute 'must see'. This annual happening (even with the own spinoff 'Kings Parade' on Kingsday - 27 April) is a festive three-day event linked with the Rotterdam Pride in September.

Anita Meijer, Ruth Jacott, Karin Bloemen: not the least known artists in Holland. They are every year pulled magically out of the hat of the organizer/owner Jan Willem Verbeek and co organiser Edgar Ernesto Renfigo Garcia. At present the rule is that if you are an artist and you have not been invited to perform on the KeerWeer Parade, you are not counting at all in The Dutch star scene!

But, above all, it is the particular atmosphere that makes the parade so unique in Holland. Hostess Esther Hofman knows how to instantly bind the public. She links the performers in a pleasant-meanspirited manner. A random passer-by and even the City Major Aboutaleb are treated in the same sweet/mean manner by this lady-of-the-house.

Famous Dutch artists like Karin Bloemen and Edsilia Rombley (left on mouse-over) performed at the KeerWeer Parade in previous editions.

The KeerWeer Parade is THE number one crowd puller of gay Rotterdam since 2010. It is always linked to the Rotterdam Pride organized in September. The location self evidently is the KeerWeer, both indoor and on the street. For more information surf to
